Lemon Thyme Cod

I have found my go-to fish recipe. It is so simple, it is ridiculous. And it is so delicious, it is that much more ridiculous. Like buttery, melt-in-your-mouth wow. Here it goes:


  • 1-2 lb black cod (I usually get wild-caught from the farmer’s market šŸ™‚
  • 1/2 lemon
  • ~2T fresh thyme (personally – the more the better!)
  • pink himalayan salt
  • parchment paper


  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Line baking dish with parchment paper
  3. Place fish skin-down in dish
  4. Sprinkle with thyme and salt to taste
  5. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over fish
  6. Bake for 15-20 min until flaky
  7. Try not to eat it all straight out of the pan šŸ˜‰
